My students' ages range from 12 to 14 years old. They really enjoy coming to school in an environment that promotes positive learning experiences. Each student loves to express who they are through their daily learning.
In these classes, the students are challenged to think outside the box and express who they are through their work.
In doing so each student has challenged me to also think outside of the box and create a classroom that is more modern with new ideas to get away from the traditional school desk classroom. Each student enjoys working in groups to challenge each other to use creative ideas in their learning.
My Project
Students will be able to work closer in groups that will encourage a student led environment. These groups will allow students to share their ideas with their peers easier each day. This will lead students to use these ideas and create a learning environment where each student thinks outside the box and develop a deeper understanding of any lesson taught within the classroom. Flexible seating will help provide more comfort for students that is different than the traditional classroom setting.
Students will be more productive in an environment where they are comfortable.
When they are more comfortable, students will open their minds up to new ideas and a new way of thinking. Comfort is an integral part to learning. Students need to feel that they are an important part of the classroom where their ideas matter.
