This is my first year teaching children with special needs and I will be teaching students diagnosed with ADHD, autism, among many other learning disabilities. These students will be in a school with only 4th and 5th-grade classrooms in a small community in Louisiana.
These sweet kiddos sometimes struggle with sitting still and staying on task, but they always work hard and try their best.
They require additional support for their learning environment to be successful. I want my students to thrive in class while also having fun!
My Project
All my students are diagnosed with ADHD, autism, and other learning disabilities. These students sometimes struggle with focusing and staying on task when they must sit still for extended amounts of time.
I chose the wobble chairs and exercise balls so students can work while also getting their wiggles out in an appropriate way for the classroom.
The office chair for me is to replace the broken chair that is in my classroom now. I want my students to be as successful as they possibly can be, and these chairs will help them to achieve this while also having fun!
