This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina and our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds. My students don't have many cultural opportunities outside of the classroom. However, they still come to school each day, excited and ready to learn something new. They have eager minds and want the best education, just like their teacher does for them.
In my classroom, my students are scientists, world travelers, teachers, thinkers, dreamers, and questioners.
They are our future and I want to give them the tools they need to have a successful career and life!
My Project
My students are eager to learn and have a variety of strengths! I want to give them the best opportunity to learn in their own space and their own abilities. This project would mean that my students would be able to focus so much more and to give them a choice! They would be able to choose their seat each week, that will make them successful in learning. My students are amazing, but sometimes don't have as many opportunities as other kids their age. I want to give them a classroom that feels like home! I want my students to be able to be themselves.
