My students need an environment that will better facilitate their learning. My students would love the variation that standing and low tables will offer them from their everyday norm.
My students are incredible human beings. They are constantly making my job and life better on a daily basis.
I'm learning from my students as much as they are learning from me and I would love to be able to provide them some awesome opportunities while at school.
These kids are ready for some pretty awesome activities in the classroom and I would love to facilitate that for them.
A majority of my students come from low-income families or are ESOL students displaced by Hurricane Irma and Maria. Our school is both a STEAM school and a Title I school.
My Project
Flexible seating offers students so many choices in the classroom. I would love to introduce this concept in my classroom with the use of standing and low tables and other seating options for students. We all learn and concentrate better when we are the most comfortable, so I want my students to have that option as well.
My students deserve every opportunity that I can give them to work in an environment that will suit them best.
Flexible seating is something that I feel would greatly benefit my students' learning. With our class sizes growing to help out our displaced students from Puerto Rico, flexible seating could definitely be the answer that we need.
With the resources in this project students will have so many options. They will be able to choose from the high table, sitting in tall seats or using it as a standing table. They will also have the option of sitting at a low table either on the floor or on the floor pillows. I wanted to give different opportunities as well, so the desk bands will give students an easy, and quiet, outlet for their energy when they are sitting at their regular desks as well.
