Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
When my students walk into our classroom, every morning they walk in ready to learn, full of life and stories, and excitement for what they will be learning that day.
My students are located and learn in an urban area school that I once attended and graduated from; where it's great that I can relate to them and have something in common.
So they are growing and learning in the same, small, and great school community that inspired me to be a teacher. My students are dreamers, thinkers, and questioners. There's not one day where they don't surprise me with their wonderful work. My students love to read and ask questions and are very curious in learning new things
My Project
Flexible seating gives the students the chance to be comfortable while learning. With flexible seating the students can go around the room and and feel confident and comfortable as well. Some of the students attention span is already challenging so having to sit on the hard chair all day just makes it harder for them. The students are eager to learn and I want them to be focused instead of worrying about distractions.
Students learn best when they are comfortable and focused.
If we receive these items it would make such a difference in our classroom. I will use these resources in our center times where the students work in partners and individually to complete work. Flexible seating would be the perfect solution for my wiggly friends or even to just to sit and read.
This would give my students the chance to sit in a comfortable chair. It also will help with their attention span and they will enjoy learning even more.
