My Students

I love my students. They are very caring and helpful. We enjoy sharing and working together on projects. I am fortunate to be able to supply them with supplies for school.

My school is one hundred percent free or reduced price lunch, so my students come from high poverty.

Although they have everything they need at school, home is a different issue. I love that we are able to accept each other and work together. I love seeing their smiling faces each day.

My Project

In 2018, gone are the typical desks facing the front of the room listening to the teacher lecture. In my class, students work in flexible groups constantly. Students are able to make themselves comfortable while they work independently.

Flexible seating allows for students to choose how they want to learn.

With wobble chairs and floor cushions, my students will be able to focus and actively engage in their learning. Wobble chairs allow students to move around freely and still sit at a table. Floor cushions allow for comfort while working on the floor.

This project will give my students better choices to take control of their learning.
