Help me give my students flexible seating options in our classroom. Wobble stools and wiggle cushions are great options for kids with wiggly bodies, which many first graders have! Lap desks would give us seating options as well!
My classroom is filled with happy, intrigued, and excited first graders! They are eager to learn and very social. The class is made up of 22 students. About half of my students are boys and the other half girls. I have some ELL students, OT students, students who receive reading support, and all students that are hard workers!
These students love to be able to break away from their desks!
Being able to find alternative seating areas to work at around my classroom will help the students to focus and feel more in charge of their seating choices!
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' ability to learn in our classroom because they will give wiggly first graders more options for seating. We have limited areas where students can move to, so having these other options available to students will allow them to make their own choices when finding a good place to work!
The wobble cushions and stools are great to help students get out the wiggles without distracting themselves or others!
Lap desks give my students the ability to move to quieter areas of the classroom and sit on a mat while also having a stable place to work. Plus, these collapsible lap desks are super easy to store!
