My Students

My 9th-12th grade students are energetic, enthusiastic and make me laugh every day. They are in need of additional reading support so that they can be well-prepared for their post secondary experiences whether it be college, trade school, or an entry right into the career world. It's important for me to provide them with a learning environment that supports their diverse learning needs and offers them the opportunity to be successful.

I love that even though my students experience challenges in reading and writing, they arrive to class every day, ready to give it their best.

My Project

Stability balls will provide my students with the opportunity to utilize flexible seating options, which is a necessity for many learners. I'm looking forward to allowing students to choose a stability ball as a seating option in the classroom as a way to help them increase their focus and break up the monotony of traditional desks and chairs.

Providing choice within the classroom can enhance student success and I know my students will truly appreciate the addition to our classroom.

White board markers will be useful in the classroom as my students who are visual learners often look for information to be shared via white boards.
