Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 32 wonderful students that come from many different types of homes. The majority of my students come from low income homes and I have 22 English Language Learners in my class. They are truly amazing students who work very hard to be successful despite the challenges they may face. They have such great personalities and inspire me to be a better teacher. I know that with the help of these projects I can give them a safe and comfortable classroom environment.
My Project
These flexible seating items will help my students to focus during instructional and independent work time. The students today need to be able to move while also learning. These items will help students to stay on task and understand concepts better.
I don't know how many times I have to say "please don't rock in your chair" or "sit safely." With the cushion and bands my students will be able to get continue with their natural habits of fidgeting and moving while also learning.
The goal is to encourage them and provide these as tools to keep them motivated and on task.
