My students need ball chairs, stools and beanbag seats!
I teach at a Title I school. We have a student population of low income families. These students face many struggles in and out of the classroom. I want to provide a place my students feel safe and comfortable. I want learning to be fun and engaging. It is boring to sit at a desk in a chair all day. I am looking to change their environment to one where they have choices so they are more engaged and ready to learn.
My goal with this project is to provide flexible seating for my students.
Flexible seating in the classroom gives students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, and helps them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking.
My students will be able to choose where they learn freely among the room to better suit their learning styles.
The environment will change drastically and feel more inviting.with a variety of seats, including, Kids Stay-N-Play Balance Balls, Plastic Stack Stools, Anti-Burst Fitness Balls, Kids Balance Ball Chair, and Big Beanbag Seats. The students should feel very comfortable coming into class each day ready to learn.
I believe this will be a wonderful way to help my students grow and learn at a whole new level.
