My classroom is full of 66 of the most imaginative and kind children I have ever met. I am excited to spend each day with them, learning and and growing. I am blessed to be their teacher!

Daily we focus on the idea of respecting and caring for others. Students are grateful for each other and understand that they each have influence on their learning environment.
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Currently my students are choosing to work in a variety of locations in our room such as at different tables, sitting under tables with clipboards, or sitting or lying down on the floor with a clipboard. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.
I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating.
They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.
Many students do their best thinking while standing, and these desks are sure to be top picks among my students. The portable desk will allow my student the opportunity to sit on the floor while at the same time having the benefit of a flat writing surface. I am excited to see my students use these! The organizer will help keep the children's work neat and organized so that our learning environment stays neat and tidy.
