My students need flexible seating options to optimize their learning. They need Kids Floor Seats, 6-Pack-16 inch KinderCushions, ECR4Kids The Surf Portable Lap Desk/Laptop Stand/Writing Table, and Trideer Inflated Stability Wobble Cushion with Pump.
Learning can be so fun and exciting! My students love to learn and dive deeper into their learning on a daily basis. These eight and nine year olds are learning how to multiply, divide, find equivalent fractions in the area of math plus so much more. They are learning to dive deeper into the life cycles of plants and animals, matter, 1800s, 1900s, and so much more in Social Studies and Science. We are busy all day long.
They are learning how to be life long learners and loving it!
They come from a variety of living situations. Some have single parent homes, some have two parent homes, some are living with extended family members, some live with multiple generations. They live in apartments, condos, and houses. Some of my students do not speak English at home. Many families are supportive of their child getting the best education possible and making the most of their time at school. We all work together to make their learning possible. The learning at home connects and continues into the classroom.
My Project
My students are constantly learning all over the classroom. In order to keep their focus students love to sit around the room and out of their chairs. My students need different seating options to allow them to be away from the typical desk/chair setting. Not using regular chairs all day long will allow students to be more comfortable in the classroom and allow more learning to happen.
The donations to this project will not only help my students learning, but help their focus to learn throughout the day.
This will aide in the process of them continuing to love learning and become the life-long learners we want them to be. All of the items will be placed in the room for them to chose the best learning place for them! The Kids floor seats will be used for students to sit on. So students will be able to use the kids floor seat as their "chair" at a desk that has been lowered closer to the floor. The Gaiam Kids Stay-N-Play Children's Balance balls will be used in place of a regular chair. Students will be able to stay focused by sitting on the balance ball instead of a regular chair while they do their work. The ECR4Kids Surf Portable Lap Desks will be another option students can chose to sit at in the room. They will be able to sit on the floor at this lap desk and easily have a hard working space to complete any activities or work in class. The Big Joe Bean Bag will be used as an additional seat where students can read, practice math facts using flashcards or iPad, or do any work in a more comfortable area. Trideer Inflated Stability Cushion will allow a student to comfortably sit on the floor.
