Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 24 students who come from a variety of backgrounds in a Title I school. They come to school every day excited and eager to learn. Our class is student-paced and they love being in charge of their learning. They are creative and caring students who love a challenge. These students face many challenges in their lives, but our classroom is one place that they all feel safe and cared about. They all contribute to our classroom community. They lift one another up when they are down and they encourage one another when things are hard. We can do hard things!
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make choices about what works best for their learning. Students are more engaged and less disruptive when they are given a choice in how and what they are learning. Currently, we have limited flexible seating options in our classroom. I would love to be able to offer more options for more of my students.
By donating to this project will not only allow my students to choose from a variety of seating options, but you will help them be creative, focused, and engaged in their learning.
These materials will allow my students to focus on their learning and remain creative and engaged in the lessons. My students will be able to collaborate with one another while remaining focused.
