My Project

Whole class, group discussion, and peer feedback are activities students participate in on a near-daily basis in my English classroom. These portable worksurfaces will allow me to transition between multiple activities in one day while also having a surface to write on or support their school-provided computers as they work.

These Surf Desks will allow students the flexible seating choices to focus on collaborative work while also giving the class the opportunity to effectively and comfortably work in any arrangement or setting.

Within the same class period, students can move quickly between writing workshops into whole-class discussions without having to move desks. We can move class seminars and discussions to the outside field or quad without sacrificing a comfortable work/writing space. These surfaces will give my students the freedom to learn and collaborate beyond the traditional class structure.
