Flexible Seating for Collaborative Learning

Help me give my students flexible seating! My students thrive when they have opportunities to choose how and where to learn as they collaborate with classmates. These stools with high backs will allow more learning center options.

My Students

My students are so inquisitive and eager to work with others in collaborative ways to achieve their learning goals. They crave interaction and sharing their ideas. Students are in classes full of diverse learning styles and needs, and each one needs to be able to progress in their own areas of need, and can use their strengths to help other students in the process.

My Project

My students crave interaction and choice in their learning. Flexible seating allows choice and comfort for different learning needs and styles in collaborative grouping, which supports students' social and emotional responses as they come back into the classroom and try to develop the skills of working with others. Students thrive with peer learning and collaboration, and they are excited to have choices in how and where they learn in the classroom. Flexible seating adds to this experience because it changes the traditional classroom into a more personalized learning environment, which helps motivate students to focus on the learning because they get to choose different ways of grouping. These stools are tall enough to complete three flexible learning center areas that allow student choice where they can collaborate and work together in small groups to help each other succeed in the learning process. They also tall backs which give more support and comfort than a regular stool. When students are able to use flexible seating in their learning, they feel more comfortable and motivated to work with others and the learning process is more enjoyable.
