I currently have 17 students in my public preschool classroom. We are in a high poverty district where many of our families take advantage of a "backpack buddy" program to send food home on the weekends and during breaks.
My students are eager to learn and love opportunities to engage in hands-on, project based learning.
Being able to provide students with extra resources to help educate and engage them would be wonderful. My students and I would appreciate any donations!
In my classroom, students are encouraged to become independent learners as they participate in project based learning opportunities. Children are more engaged in classroom activities when they can take some ownership in creating their own learning environment by using seating options that are mobile.
Flexible seating options like wobble seats and comfy chairs would allow students the ability to move seating to different areas of the room to maximize their ability to focus and comfort level.
A variety of seating options also helps to meet the needs of all learners. Children are more focused and less disruptive when given some flexibility in their learning environment.
