My students need more options in the classroom for seating. Flexible seating really helps to stimulate students and allows for kids to get their wiggles out from sitting most of the day in the classroom.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are amazing kids who have amazing minds. They are constantly curious and wanting to know more about the world around them. There are many times in class when my students will stump me on questions and intrigue me with their knowledge of subject areas. My students are an individualized group that is hungry for adventures and challenges.
The students in my classroom are interested in a variety of different things.
They love being able to learn and grow while they are in school and especially love being a part of such a special group. My students are real-world problem solvers that want opportunities to learn and grow.
My Project
Students in my classroom enjoy having the opportunity to sit in various places. Many students enjoy having what is called flexible seating in the classroom. Flexible seating allows for students to move around more in the classroom without disturbing others or the teacher.
Students need a way to get their wiggles out.
The Learniture stools allow for the students to rock while staying in one place. This gives students the opportunity to move, without disrupting the class. The seat coushins are great for those students who get distracted easily and need something to focus their energy. Lastly, the stools give the students an extra option than just sitting in a regular chair.
