This year I have 10 amazing students in my class. Our school is located in rural Vermont and is very small. Many of our families often struggle to find employment and opportunity. Most of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch.
The students in my class are very curious individuals, each with their own learning needs and styles.
I love seeing their faces light up when something clicks and gets their wheels turning! I feel lucky to spend everyday with these amazing kids.
Flexible seating allows students to make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times students may choose a location in the classroom that works. Currently, they may choose from a variety of spots in our room with small foam matts, made by my mom, sitting or laying on the tile floor with a clip board. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices.
These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out.
They can also be used as an alternative chair if needed! The comfy floor seats and the beanbag chair will allow for additional comfortable floor seating options. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.
I hope the products I have chosen will help keep students focused and engaged in their learning.
