Since it is the summertime, I have not yet met my amazing students, but I want to create a classroom environment that they will love and enjoy. Many of my students live in a low-income household. Their home life varies greatly from student to student in regards to parent support and access to technology. These differences are seen in their completion of homework.
I love the unique abilities of each and every one of my students.
I want to be able to highlight these through technological and non-technological methods in my classroom.
I am striving to make my classroom a warm environment to welcome them and encourage them to learn and grow.
My Project
I am a first year teacher and I am trying to make my classroom welcoming to my students. Their home lives may not support their education in ways that they need, so I want to make sure that I can do that.
I want my classroom to be their home away from home.
I want them to love walking in every morning.
In order to do this I am asking for flexible seating options. This includes the Wobbly cushions and stools. This will help differentiate the seating arrangements for my students. I am hoping that this will help them be more comfortable.
I requested different materials to help motivate my students to do their best. This includes the treasure box materials, book marks, and erasers.
