I teach a loving bunch of kiddos. They come from a high poverty, low income environment where over 70% of the students receive a free breakfast and lunch. They come to school every day with a smile on their faces ready to do their best. It is my goal to create a fun and engaging classroom where all students will blossom and succeed.
Each child in my classroom loves learning, and we use a variety of methods to support each and every one of them.
We try to incorporate a variety of learning strategies such as group work, partner work, technology, and hands-on games. They are truly an incredible group, and I am very lucky and thankful to have these learners who are excited and ready to learn each day!
My Project
Many times throughout the day my students are encouraged to join me on the carpet for instruction. Right now they use clipboards when they have to write or do activities where they need a flat hard surface. So many times they are looking down and miss out on important information. They are not comfortable and spend much of the time moving around and complaining.
These lap desks will help my students focus on the lesson and ultimately be successful.
They will not have to move to find a better spot so there will be no distractions or disruptions. All my students will be able to give me their full attention. This donation will be the perfect answer to help my students on the floor stay engaged. Thank you!
