My students need flexible seating options like the Comfy Floor Seatm Balance Balls and Wobble Cushions to help them focus during classwork and truly reach their full potential.
My students are so versatile, they all have different personalities, likes and dislikes and yet they are all so sweet and innocent.
My favorite part of the day is welcoming them into my classroom; seeing each of their beautiful faces in the morning makes my day a whole lot brighter.
During this time, I am able to build a relationship with them outside of just schoolwork. I have students who tell me everything! When, I mean everything, I mean EVERYTHING! I love hearing all of the things they did over the weekend, all their jokes, and even all the hurt they carry in their little hearts. I love them all for all different reasons and I hope I impact them as much as they have impacted my life.
My Project
It is extremely hard for an adult to stay seated in one spot, much less a child who is trying to focus on learning to their full potential. Our students have less focus than students did just a decade ago. It is our job to help meet their needs and to help them achieve all of their learning goals. Allowing them flexible seating options will allow my students choice and various options to choose from.
To move into more research driven "student-centered" learning, giving students flexible seating options is imperative for their academic and social growth.
Research has shown that giving students choices allows them to take ownership and more responsibility through helping build classroom culture and rapport with their peers. We need your help in getting our kids minds off of uncomfortable furniture, and back on learning! Please help us do this by helping us make the switch to Flexible Seating.
