This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative and eager to learn. Our classroom is full of scholars who love to move around and be involved with the work they are focusing on. There is a wide range of students in the classroom. There are students who are below grade level and at grade level. This allows everyone to work together and challenge one another.
My scholars come from a low-income background and receive free breakfast and lunch daily.
They work hard every time they enter the school building, which makes them very unique. These scholars are willing to put up a fight and try their best to accomplish anything that comes their way in third grade.
My Project
By having these materials, my students will be able to have an alternative seating option within the classroom that is best for their learning. Many of my students need to move around throughout the day and having flexible seating/options can help them stay focus and continue learning by moving around the room. The privacy folder will help the students stay focused and not be distracted by others during prime learning time.
Alternative seating will also help reduce the behavior problems in my classroom.
Students will be given their own space and tools that will help them be successful in third grade! It will help minimize the distractions and breaks they need throughout the day. The portable white board will allow the students to see the work any where in the room or allow them to work in a small group while using the board and flexible seating. Please help my students get the seating they need to be successful. Thank you!!
