Too many obstacles get in our way! You can enable us to facilitate the learning process for all students with different backgrounds to grow and be successful in school. My students come from many different backgrounds. I have students with different levels, different socio-economic backgrounds, different cultures, different nationalities, and even different foreign languages. We are a true "American melting pot" of a school.
I see roughly 100 students on a daily basis for 5 different Math classes.
The kids range from 19 struggling learners with IEPs, to 7 ESL (English as a Second Language) learners, to proficient learners. We all have one come goal, and that is to learn new math skills.
Teaching to such a wide array of learners can be challenging, but having the tools necessary will allow us to achieve our learning goals.
My Project
I am asking for a standing desk with a swinging footrest bar for students that just have to be up and moving. Also, I am requesting fidget bands for chairs because my students a lot of energy and these bands will allow them to bounce their feet and fidget while remaining on task.
It is my goal to level the playing field so that all my students are enabled to reach their full potential.
This desk and the bands will facilitate a more adaptive classroom for all students' needs. Please help fund our project so all my students can be given the same advantages to achieve what they believe is possible.
