My students come from a small agricultural town. Many of my students are on free or reduced lunch. They are a diverse group of kiddos that face some personal and academic struggles. I am committed to showing them the importance of hard work and grit using love and logic.
Every child can learn, with the right resources and guidance.

My Project
Every day students come to school and are told to sit still, listen and do the work. Anyone who has ever worked with a child will tell you that sitting still when you are 10 years old is one of the hardest things to do.
Flexible seating is the wave of the future in our classrooms.
Flexible seating benefits students by increasing metabolism, attention, motivation, engagement, and oxygen flow to the brain. Not to mention it helps students burn extra calories and using up their extra energy. All this and it helps with posture and core strength.
I hope to bring in two standing desks, 2 wobble seats, and 3 balance balls, and 4 balance disks.
When students take a more active role in their education they show more growth. By allowing students to have a choice in their seating they are more invested in their learning.
