I am a fourth-grade teacher at a public school in Arizona. My school is a Title I school where one hundred percent of students receive free or reduced-priced breakfast and lunch.
My students come to school excited and ready to learn.
They work well together as a team and encourage each other to strive towards their goals. My classroom is filled with uniqueness and diversity.
As a teacher, I am committed to providing my students a quality education through relevant and meaningful lessons. Through differentiation, I make sure the needs of my students are met. In my classroom, students grow academically in addition to learning life skills and building confidence. My students are the reason I come to school every day.
My Project
My students are seated most of the day so they need a comfy alternative to plastic chairs. Flexible seating is the answer! Students can pick their seat.
Flexible seating consists of wobble stools, floor seats, adjustable floor tables, yoga balls, standing desks, stools, lap desks, and couches.
Flexible seating allows students to pick the seat that they learn best in. Students can sit on the floor or stand at a table. Flexible seating allows students to have options. Alternative seats are specially designed to let students wiggle and wobble; therefore, increasing students' focus and allowing them to reach their academic goals.
