We are a small rural school in Washington. Our small class sizes give our school a unique opportunity to work closely with each student. Students get unique experiences at a small school. I love to provide my students with opportunities to learn about topics that they are not exposed to in their home lives.

A focus in my classroom is collaboration. I enjoy seeing my students work together and learn from one another.
My Project
My students will use flexible seating to learn around the classroom in various areas. This helps them to feel comfortable and stay engaged while being able to move and wiggle. This is especially important for students with special needs. The stools and balls will be used for students to sit at while working around the classroom. This gives them the freedom to move and learn in a spot that best works for them.
My students work in group settings often and this allows them to move around the room.
Collaboration is a focus of my classroom and flexible seating helps this.
The materials for storage are useful in a flexible seating classroom as students are not at desks they need somewhere to store and access their materials.
