Help me give my students flexible seating for our classroom! My students have come to me and asked me for different options for seating and work areas!
My amazing second-grade students are a diverse group of children who are all excited to learn! These six- and seven-year-olds come from varied backgrounds, cultures, and neighborhoods, and many of them are from low-income families. Two of my students receive speech therapy in school. But they all have one thing in common: they love to read—either together or on their own!
My second graders are learning to be kind, empathetic, and socially conscious citizens of the world, as well as independent thinkers!
My Project
My second graders are looking for variety in their seating and learning options. With these materials my students can sit and work in a way that is most comfortable for them
We do not all learn the same!
With these options, my students can make individualized choices when it comes to what they need in our classroom.
Small groups will also be more comfortable; there will be more space in the classroom, making it a more open, airy learning environment.
My kids love to read and write, and they are always looking to get comfortable on the mat. Now, we will have more options to work in a way that works best for each student.
