I have a classroom full of magnificent first-grade students. We build academic, social, and emotional skills every day. We use these skills to mold ourselves into a wonderful learning community.
My First graders are discovering how a classroom becomes a learning community.
We are from the second largest city in the state. We are excited to learn, play and grow together throughout the year. They are excited to become better readers and writers and are very motivated to learn every day.
As a first grade teacher, I have learned about the importance of movement and the impact it has on learning. This project will allow my students to have choices for what they want to sit on, as well as allow them to move around in a non-disruptive way.
"Children need to move; Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength."
Flexible seating also allows children the ability to collaborate which helps build a better sense of community in the classroom. There are so many benefits to having flexible seating in a classroom.
