My students need flexible seating options like Bouncy Bands and Wobble Chairs to help them feel independent and important while keeping them engaged and comfortable.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inquisitive, goal getting, kind hearted individuals that strive to create a welcoming classroom community. They don’t let their difficult circumstances overcome them which is often a daily struggle.
They are eager to learn and grow and become leaders in their community and just need that extra support to get them there.
With this extra funding my students will be able to break barriers and be able to feel like the successful and confident learners I know they are.
My Project
The resources I am asking for will directly benefit the productivity and success when it comes to my students' learning. My students have so much going on in their lives at home that sometimes it can be hard for them to concentrate in the classroom.
By giving my students alternative and flexible seating options they will be able to concentrate and focus more in the classroom.
There is no doubt that movement helps our minds concentrate better so these seating options will enable my students to engage in slight movement as they work. The wobble chairs will be used for students that enjoy a little more constant movement as they work. The bouncy bands will be used for students that like to move or rock their feet while working. While the cushions will be used for students who enjoy working more comfortably sitting on the floor.
These flexible seating options will really make a huge difference in my students' ability to learn and be successful students.
