Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come to school energetic and ready to learn daily! They are between the ages of 8 and 9. They enjoy engaging hands-on activities the most. They love activities that require movement around the classroom. It is hard for my students to stay engaged while sitting in a hard, uncomfortable chair all day. During lessons, they often get fidgety and restless. I would like the opportunity to offer them flexible seating options that will make them comfortable in my classroom while they are learning! My students will enjoy experiencing a comfortable learning environment which, means more engagement and success!
My Project
I have some of the most amazing students in my classroom. They are full of life, and excited about learning.I believe that my students will be more focused, engaged, and motivated to learn when they are comfortable in the classroom.
The balance balls, stools, and carpet will give my students the option to learn in different environments that are suitable for their learning needs.
These flexible seating options will give my students the chance to move around our classroom while they are still learning and working. The large carpet will give them a nice comfortable space to read and work on assignments.
This project will significantly help my students stay focused, engaged, and motivated throughout the school day. They spend many hours each day in our classroom and my number one goal is for them love spending time in their classroom. I have always wanted to try flexible seating in our classroom, and I am beyond excited to see all of my students enjoying and benefiting from our flexible seating options!
