Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the BEST!!! This coming school year I will have approximately 175 Algebra 1 students. They are amazing, fun, and full of life. Our school is a Title 1 School and all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are such an inspiration each and every day.
Most of my students come from medium to low income household. They are eager to learn and strive to hit the high expectations set in class no matter what they are facing.
My Project
My classroom is a warm and inviting place for all my students to learn. With the purchase of the ProGreen string lights, I can turn my classroom into an even more welcoming and smoothing "oasis" for students to learn.
Since my students are very diverse and come from many different backgrounds, my classroom need flexibility.
With the purchase of a Big Joe Lounger, Big Joe Roma Chairs, Milton Green Stars Bean Bag Chair, and Sofa Sack Bean Bag Chair, I can transform my room into a flexible, relaxing classroom. Right now during independent work or group work, my students can chose to sit around the room using clip boards, go out in the hall with clip boards, or stay at their desk. Adding these bean bags will give them more comfortable options. All of the flexible seating options are light weight which will make them easy to move around the room to create multiple work areas. Giving them flexible seating has many benefits. Some of the benefits are; choice, comfort, and collaboration. By giving them choices, they can choose what seat works best for them, while giving them the ability to get up and move if needed. An uncomfortable student, is a distracted and unproductive student. Flexible seating allows students to quickly and easily pair up or work in small groups.
Flexible seating helps make learning fun and we are all about FUN!!!
