Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In our small town, often my students are deprived of resources or experiences that other children receive. However, you would never know it by observing one of our classrooms. As a school and a community, we have become very resourceful and instilled the necessity of grit and perseverance in our students.
Every day, I see ingenuity and initiative in my students' eyes as they walk into the classroom.
Despite the cards that were dealt to them, these kids overcome their personal struggles every day. These students are truly are inspiration to all who know them.
My Project
Your donation to this project will help me bring flexible seating options to my students. There are not many of us who would choose to work at a desk all day if given the option, the same goes for my students. Flexible seating offers a variety of options for students to be comfortable and empowered in their learning.
Flexible seating creates buy-in for students in the classroom.
When allowed to choose how they learn and work best, a student now feels a sense of responsibility for their learning. Students can choose from Wobble Stools, floor seating, table options. Your donation will help me teach students how they learn and work best!
