My students need rugs because we are doing flexible seating this year. Students find a comfy spot and sit on cushions, yoga balls, and lowered desks on the floor. Comfy rugs go under the flexible seating.
I teacher 5th grade in a low income title one school. We strive to meet the needs of every child everyday. Our students have some struggles but really want to succeed.
Our students come in struggling with basic knowledge and need a lot of support to be successful.
Our students have a love for learning and really want to be successful in all they do. I love their positive attitudes and their perseverance in trying to master ever skill to be sucessful. Our students love to find a comfy spot to sit, build things, create, make videos, problem solve and experience new things everyday.
My kiddo's work hard. They rock-it during math time and perverse during reading. Students need to move and sit in different types of seating to be able to stay focused and comfortable throughout their school day. These rugs give us the chance to lay or sit on the floor to do cooperative learning assignments, games, or independent work.
Kids need to be comfortable to focus on the learning and keep up a high level of endurance during their school day.
Students can sit on the rugs if they need to be closer to the board or during guided reading time.
