Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are the future. I want to provide them with all the necessary tools and instruction to be life long learners. My students learn best when they are in charge of their learning. I strive to cater to all learning styles and needs.
I teach a diverse group of students from all backgrounds and cultures.
They each are unique and have different learning styles and personalities. I feel creating a space that welcomes diversity and teaches tolerance will make our classroom environment that much better.
My Project
It can be a difficult transition into Kindergarten. My students deserve to feel safe and comfortable in an exciting, learning environment. They love being able to move around the classroom through different centers, for different activities. By implementing flexible seating in my classroom, I hope to encourage students' learning in fun, comfortable and exciting ways.
I believe that by including flexible seating into my classroom, students will be more engaged and eager to learn.
Because of this, I am asking for a mini-couch, bean bag chairs, floor chairs and yoga balls. My hope is for each learner to become enthusiastic about becoming readers in a free and fun environment.
