In order to benefit my students and provide a better learning community for them I hope to improve the layout of my classroom. I want to provide these 14 young minds with the best possible tools, materials, and classroom community in order to help them grow into wonderful young people.
I met my students just once at the end of last school year for a quick visit and I am already so excited to learn and grow with them this school year!
These items will better the learning environment that my students will walk into every day. By providing flexible seating I am allowing my students to make a choice when they enter the classroom. This choice will most definitely be exciting for a first grader, and will also help improve my classroom community.
Flexible seating will greatly improve the classroom community.
Students will be more likely to complete their work and engage in conversation and collaboration with other students.
Flexible seating will be used daily in my classroom. I cannot wait to introduce my students to flexible seating and allow them to make choices of their own.
The Plastic Stack stools will be used as an alternative seating arrangement throughout the day when the students are split into small groups or to work by themselves. They will be located at our reading table and writing table. The Flex - Space Comfy Floor seats will be used throughout the room for a comfortable seating choice during reading times. The Balance Ball Seats will be used for a variety of different things in the classroom. They will be used for students who need a different seating option at their seats and also for individual use and group work!
