My students need flexible seating options. Some students have a hard time having to sit in a regular chair for long periods of time. They need something more comfortable and more suited to their needs.
My students are so wonderful and eager to learn! My students make my classroom what it is. To a lot of them, it is their safe, comfortable place. They come from a variety of backgrounds, and a very high percent of our school is on free/reduced lunch. A lot of them do not get to experience most things other kids might. I want to be able to give my students what they deserve and more. I want them to feel welcomed, comfortable, safe, excited, and so eager to learn!
My Project
In today's world, we have learned about many ways that students learn. It is hard for some students to sit in a regular hard chair for long periods of time and to remain focused on their learning. Flexible seating gives us the option of providing students with a better seating option to aid in their attention and learning.
Flexible seating is so beneficial, but it can be expensive when funding for it is coming out of a teacher's own pocket.
With your help, I can start giving my students options to sit somewhere that will aid them in their learning. The wobble stools and flexible chairs will be a great beginning to a flexible seating classroom!
