My students need bean bags, stools, and folding chairs to experience flexible seating.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I teach at a Title 1 elementary school in the Southwest part of Mississippi. Our school includes six grade levels ranging from Kindergarten through fifth grade. There are many different cultures and ethnic groups represented here. All of our students are provided with free transportation and free breakfast and lunch through the federal program.
My students are eager to learn in a motivating and comfortable classroom.
I teach students with many levels of intelligence that includes students with special needs.
Flexible seating will make a difference in my classroom by making my students feel welcome and comfortable. Instead of regular desk and chairs we will us the bean bags, stools, and folding chairs for our seats with clipboards as our work space. This will allow the students not to have to sit up straight all day and be able to sit in a more comfortable position. Studies show this helps to increase their focus on learning and grades. The bins are for storing the students belongings while in the flexible seating group instead of putting their items on the floor.
