My Students

My classroom is filled with the most amazing middle school students who have a variety of emotional, mental, and learning disabilities. Each student is unique in the way they learn, how they connect with their peers and adults, and navigate through their every day life. They are creative and compassionate hand on learners who require a variety of tools to help them maintain attention and focus during instruction.

My Project

All student deserve an equal opportunity to learn and each child has their own unique way of learning. My students have a variety of learning disabilities and other health impairments including ADHD, Autism, Emotional Disturbance and anxiety. These learning challenges often stand in the way of their ability to successfully accessing school curriculum. Providing flexible seating options with a standing desk, adjustable standing desk, and balance ball chairs will support their diverse needs so they can wiggle while they work. Additionally, providing music with a Bluetooth speaker will help them to remain calm, focused and productive in the classroom. Please help me provide my students with the tools that support their active learning styles.
