My students need rolling cart organizers, a coffee table, and small book bins to organize the classroom. Now that we are a flexible seating room students need more storage.
As a first year teacher I would love to encourage my students to be able to learn in the best environment for them. However to financially support their various seating preferences has been very hard and sometimes impossible. My students are kind, respectful, and bright. They, like most third grade students, love to move around and learn best in an environment that embraces that amazing energy. This makes it difficult for students to work at their desks. I would love to encourage my students movement by becoming a completely flexible seating classroom.

Flexible seating encourages students to share and collaborate. Knowing these life long skills will allow my students to became not only better learners but also better people.
My Project
Now that my classroom has flexible seating options, students need places to store everyday items. Items that still need to fins a spot in my room are, supply boxes, folders and students books. I would like to put their books and folder in the book boxes that I have requested. The 12 and 7 drawer rolling cart will be great for students to keep extra supplies like pencils glue, and even crayons. These are thing that students use to be able to keep in their desks but now that we no longer have desks it is very difficult to find places in the room to store items. We will no longer have a recess desk to store our indoor recess items, so to keep with my classroom theme of cactus I have requested the cactus laundry bin to help store our indoor recess supplies.
My students now have a large variety of seating options but we realized that we do not have a lot of places to write so I requested the coffee table.
Some of our storage will also double as a writing surface.
