Flexible Seating and Storage Pockets for the Burge Bunch!
My students need seat sack storage pockets to store learning materials in since our classroom does not utilize desks. We need stools for portable, flexible seating options.
My students are extraordinary people. They teach me something new everyday. I would like to gather as much support as I can for them, simply because they deserve it. Our school serves a diverse population of students, with many coming from low income families. Day to day, you may walk into our classroom and see a child that's "not trying very hard." What I see is a child who has been up all night, taking care of his siblings because Mom works late hours to keep a roof over their heads. You may see a child who struggles, and always "forgets" her school supplies. I see a child who prayed for those supplies this year, but just didn't get them. I teach at a Title I school in Deatsville, Alabama and when I look at my students, I see children who need an outlet for creativity and learning. I see children who love to learn and make the most of their circumstances on a daily basis.
My job is to help my students get the most out of their learning experience, and use learning as the gateway to becoming creative, responsible, life long learners-with no limits!
My Project
My students need storage pockets to store their learning materials in. I have recently replaced our student desks with tables to enhance my students' collaboration opportunities and create a bigger work space for them to build projects. Seat sacks would give students more space to move around while keeping their things stored away in a neat and tidy manner. We need the metal stools to create more portable flexible seating options for students when working in centers, groups, or pairs.
In our class, we believe in team work and working as a unit-these materials will allow us to accomplish this daily goal!
