My students need flexible seating to increase their learning. This is why I am asking for 15 rugs and a set of clipboards. Students will have a space in our room to call their own.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our classroom is a place where students walk in ready and excited to learn. They call themselves "Rockstars" and give everything they can to learn something new every single day! They are a tight knit community where they strive to help each other learn every single day.
Our class comes from a variety of economic backgrounds with 97% of our students receiving free or reduced lunch.
Despite many hardships, our students continue to overcome and grow in their education. They have so many goals they hope to achieve and I'm excited to be part of their journey.
My Project
My first grade students have been working with flexible seating all year long, however their options are in our class right now are slim. Some of my students work better standing up, while the majority love to lay on the ground, and even focus better while doing so. I strive for my students to feel at home in our classroom.
Flexible seating will increase love of learning in our classroom.
Students have continuously expressed that when they are comfy, they can learn better. Not only will the rugs and clip boards help students this year, but they will help students for years to come.
