My students love to learn! I teach History and Geography in a transient, coastal community along the east coast. I teach students from a variety of backgrounds and life situations. My school has a high population of SPED and ESOL or EL students. My students love to learn and enjoy using maps.
I love teaching because I love to see students master something that they did not think they could do.
I love to see the happiness and success on their face when they are successful. I love my profession because I see the positive side of humanity in education. I love to teach students how to be successful.
My Project
Fidgety, anxious, moving around, well, that’s a lot of students!! This project will help students focus while being in the classroom and while being focused on the lesson! My students need the jelly fish chair for a different kind of chair, the Kore Active chairs to keep them working on balance and focused on the lesson, desk bands to activate their thoughts and provide an outlet for anxiety and the bingo game for fun all around! This project will help students learn!! Research shows that flexible seating helps students focus and these stools and bands will help with keeping students focused! The Bingo will be a fun activity to assist in Lear the alphabet! I am excited to offer students a variety of methods to stay engaged in the classroom and make learning fun! Help me get keep students engaged by providing them healthy and safe ways to expel energy while in class and while learning!
