Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title l district where most of the students come from low-income households and they are very limited to the resources in the classroom.

Every day when my students arrive to the classroom, they are full of energy and anxious to see what is in store for them.

I teach 5th grade dual language and many of my students read at different grade levels. I would love to provide a welcoming classroom for them where they feel loved and welcomed.

My Project

I have 25 wonderful dual-language students who come to school everyday ready to learn something new! While all of the students have a chair, it is very difficult for some of them to seat on the hard-blue chair day to day.

Having flexible seating in the classroom gives the students the opportunity to move around the classroom to collaborate with more students and they get to move around, which in return the oxygen flows to their brain and they become more alert and focus.

I am requesting 5 K'Motion Stools that will give my students the opportunity to use another form of seating besides the typical blue-hard chair while collaborating with their classmates.
