Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am blessed to teach an amazing group of 4th grade students in an inclusion classroom setting. My students truly have a passion for learning. They are hardworking, enthusiastic, and incredible. Within my classroom, I strive to create an environment that focuses on the importance of cultivating positive social and emotional skills, as well as strong academic skills. My goal is to build a culture of kindness, inclusion, and acceptance so all students can thrive. I believe in supporting my students with all of their individual needs, which includes providing them with options to best support their interests and learning styles.
My Project
Research has shown that flexible seating helps to enhance students' focus and engagement in the classroom. I believe in providing my students with different seating options that will help support their individual learning needs. Through the use of flexible seating, my students will be able to wiggle and meet their sensory needs while working at our small group table or around the classroom.
My students need opportunities for movement in order to maintain their focus and stay actively engaged.
