Help me give my students a math corner! We are in need of math manipulatives, dry erase boards, and bean bag chairs to create a small group math space within our classroom!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am so grateful to have an eager group of 18 diverse kindergartners this academic school year! I have students who are learning how to speak English who come from disadvantaged neighborhoods and are struggling to identify letters and sounds. I also have students who are already avid readers and are thirsting to learn more!
My students work hard from the moment they enter the classroom until the moment they are dismissed to their parents.
Most are reluctant to go home because they want to stay in school to learn even more. They are eager learners and I want to provide them with the high-quality education that they deserve.
My Project
Our kiddos are budding math experts and we want to maintain that momentum! I want to create a small group math space for my kindergartners so they can participate in hands-on math activities. In order to make this possible, our classroom is in need of math manipulatives, dry erase boards and bean bag seats. This will ensure that students are exploring math concepts in a creative space for mathematics.
Let's keep our kiddos excited about mathematics!
A flexible seating math space will encourage our students to become flexible thinkers as they explore math concepts with math manipulatives, all while practicing perfect on their dry erase boards. We are very excited about our kindergartners working hard this year and we want to celebrate their learning with a creative math space to keep them excited about math.
