My students need a learning environment that promotes flexibility with four light weight desks, an activity table, and four runtz ball chairs.
I encourage my students to learn through collaboration, creativity, problem solving, and innovation. I want the environment in which they learn to be flexible, comfortable and inviting to encourage this type of learning.
I am a fifth-grade teacher with a classroom full of bright, energetic, unique students.
Not one student is alike. Flexible learning spaces will be available in my school for us to use, but I think the classroom should be flexible as well. Why should we leave our classroom to feel comfortable and be able to move furniture easily for collaboration.
My students will use the furniture to have a space that will be easy to arrange if they are working alone or with a group of six or even the whole class! The Runtz chairs will allow students who need movement to stay seated and have minimal movement opportunities through the design of the chair.
Students who experience learning in my classroom will benefit from the lightweight furniture so they can easily move around the room with ease.
Time won't be spent moving heavy furniture and students can easily and quickly work together when necessary. Students will feel more creative and encouraged to take risks in an environment that is different from what they are used to.
