My Students

I teach a class full of twenty energetic and eager to learn 5th grade students in a small district in Oklahoma. My students have been able to experience a small amount of flexible seating options and they have thrived because of them. My students come from a very rural area and are used to being outside and being active. They need more flexible seating options that will help them move but also keep them in one area where they can be focused and learn.

My students excel in a classroom environment that is fun and inviting but also comfortable and engaging.

My Project

Wobble seats are a fantastic flexible seating optionsl. Students will be more engaged during class time,as they are able to wobble while they learn. This is imperative to some of my students learning styles. These wobble seats will allow students to sit on a seat that is comfortable, but also helps them get their wiggles out. We currently have seven yogaballs and that is not enough flexible seating options, as we have to roatate the seven balls among 21 students. Some students needs the flexible seating optionevery day, so once my project is funded more students will have the ability to have a seat that works best for them!
