My students come from a diverse background. Our school is a Title 1 school serving mostly, over eighty percent, students from low socioeconomic homes. Spanish and English are the two primary languages spoken in the homes of the students in my class. Many of the students have not had the chance to travel outside of the state. Even though they may be dealing with issues outside of school, they do a great job of coming to class with a desire to learn.
My Project
Teaching in the present day is all about flexibility. Flexibility with the curriculum. Flexibility with the daily schedule. Most of all flexibility with the students.
Help bring more flexibility to my classroom.
This project will accomplish two major things that will help my students and the classroom. The first thing it will help is by bringing flexible learning. The students will be able to learn in a way that they haven't had the chance before with the 3D printer. It will really help learning come to life.
It will also bring flexibility to my classroom by changing up the seating. Students will be able to sit in different setups each day with flex balls, standing desks, and other choices.
