In a few weeks, I will have the privilege of welcoming a new class of kindergarten students to a year bound to be full of fun, learning and lots of growth! Kindergarteners are dynamic; their zest for learning and life motivates me to provide the most engaging educational experiences possible for them during each and every school day! These bright and busy boys and girls will each come to our classroom with different learning styles and will access a multitude of tools daily to support them in being the strongest and most successful learners they can be!
My Project
These three wobble stools will build on the flexible seating environment that I strive to create with the children in my class. Kindergarteners are constantly working to understand that different people learn best in different ways and, as a result, become very reflective about how they can each be their own strongest learner possible. An important part of that process involves being able to make choices related to environmental and spatial influences.
While some students are most comfortable and focused when seated at desks, others feel most successful given the opportunity to work elsewhere.
With your help, those students -- the ones who crave alternative seating options -- will have more choices to access learning how and where it works best for them. Our classroom is equipped with a few of these stools already and they have been a student favorite! The additional Kore Wobble Chairs (stools) requested will play an instrumental part in allowing more students use of this popular flexible seating option.
