Our student centric second grade class is comprised of energetic, motivated and an eager group of students! We have a diverse group of learners that represent cultures from around the world. They bring in a rich cultural diversity to our classroom community. At the beginning of the year, we are busy building long lasting and meaningful relationships with one another. As a whole class, we represent a community of lifelong learners! My students and I practice the concept of a "growth mindset" in our classroom.
My students are curious and intellectually flexible!
We want to always try our very best, never give up, and always learn from every interaction, both inside and outside our classroom.
Our class students love to have the choice of sitting in the classroom. Students have their own unique ways of learning. When they are comfortable in class, they will be more engaged and will enjoy learning in the classroom. Our students love the wobble stools. Unfortunately, we do not have enough of them for everyone to use!
The Kore wobbly stools are light to move around the classroom, fun to sit on, and easy to assemble.
Our students work on a lot of group activities like reading and writing projects. These stools allow students to move their stools quickly and sit in a small circle so they can have meaningful discussions. Every student in my class wants a Kore wobble stool. The stools and the "Go anywhere chair" will be useful additions to our classroom. The chair will be a very helpful tool to use when teaching small groups during Writers Workshop.
